New neighbors!

I walked outside yesterday and found a duck couple had settled under our big shady tree in the front. I fed them some leftover bread and made them a pool with a ramp. They didn't even get to try out the water before they flew off. They came back later and stayed for a few hours. This morning I peeked out the window, and amazingly, they were back. I think they are regulars now, since i have been feeding them! It's so sweet to see them follow each other around everywhere.

Such a fun night!

My neighbor had a party last night and she had me make fun drink and balloon cookies. I finally made it over just as everyone was leaving. I stayed a few hours and we just sat out in front of her fire pit and talked about all kinds of things. I don't know how fun it was for her, but I had a blast! I really needed that relaxing feeling and having a friend to sit with was so nice. When I woke up this morning I could still smell the smokey scent from the fire on my shirt and it made me reminisce. She has worked so hard and so long on her beautiful yard, her friends asked "who did your yard?". I hope someday I can make someplace so amazing that I can call it my castle!
